New Hanover Regional Medical Center is a 769-bed Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital located on the beautiful Carolina coast in Wilmington, NC. Specialties at New Hanover include: Oncology, Neurology, Neonatology, Cardiology, Physical Rehabilitation and Behavioral Health. NHRMC is now accepting applications for the 2010-2011 CPE Residency and 2010 Summer Internship.

The Summer Internship focuses on the development of personal and pastoral identity while introducing the CPE student to the action-reflection-action model of learning. The summer unit is an 11-week session beginning on June 1 and concluding on August 13, 2010. Assistance in obtaining housing for the summer student is provided.

Our creative Residency curriculum offers three units of CPE in a calendar year, emphasizing clinical ministry and integration of learning with practice which includes daily hospital visitations and nights and weekends on call. A previous unit of CPE is required. Compensation for the Residency year includes a $30,472 stipend, medical benefits, on-call meals, and 26 paid days off.

Tuition and fees include a non-refundable $25 application fee and $150 per unit tuition fee for both programs.
